Yeah, yeah... I know certain people are craving my attention so much that they are making up stories about their awesomeness... I don't care, this isn't more of the BS Martial Arts Online Drama that I said I would walk away from. No, this is something completely different.
This is about being attacked on the Federal Courthouse Steps by a Beckley Police Informant. That fight ended quickly when I disarmed a knife wielding opponent... Actually, I am not even that awesome, he tried some Mall Ninja flippy floppy switch to a reverse grip and dropped his knife. Which I snatched up and basically fought him off to turn it over to the Marshals Service. I don't trust cops in West Virginia especially, Raleigh County Sheriffs, Beckley City and State Police.
Now that was back in October and I am about to file a motion that will get everything moving with Federal Judge Berger. Once this happens, I think things might get amped from just knives and, it wouldn't be the first time I had been shot at...
So I decided to make a very public point about ability to own and purchase firearms. Again... And I got delayed. Now this was all bait for something a bit later but, never mind. Just know ninja mind fuckery is a foot.
Now I bought the gun and made a very public show of the fact that I can both pass a background check and own a firearm. Why?
Well there are three reasons...
1. I wanted to expose the liars, I don't have to say who, we all know... Who claim I am mentally ill, a felon and so on. However, this isn't limited to those detractors in the online martial arts community, it goes back to lies spread by Kristen Keller who I have a $25 Million lawsuit against. And yeah, it gets the ninjer nutjobs going as well.
2. I wanted to clear up any misconceptions about me. And, publicly demonstrate how a BS those lies are. Not only do I have Online Martial Arts Nutters who cyber stalk me but, so do the cops.
And when they spread those lies to other rookie officers, well they get exposed as liars and made into complete fools.
3. This also goes back to certain cowardly fucktards who. Also want to hide behind those same lies in Beckley. So once the lies get exposed, it all starts to bring down these houses of cards built on lies.

As for my new handgun, lets talk about my old handgun. In September of 2016 I bought a Hipoint C9. Proof is the image below from my Facebook page.
I bought the C9 to test fire and work with for my book Poorman's Guide to Prepping. Currently working on a Poormans Guide to Prepping 2, a second book that looks other possible survival strategies such as Van living, RV living, Boat Living and Homesteading.
And here we see the date of image going back to September of 2016. So I had a 9mm Handgun for over a year. I bought a new one, passed another background check, all confirming the lies spread by Kristen Keller and only trolls, pretending to be a threat to me when I have already had to deal with one person, Nathan Lilly (yeah him), trying to get me arrested and another threatening me with a knife...
Don't get it all messed up, all these trolls yapping at my heels exist because I keep winning. And, I don't need to defend my victories... They need to get a victory, to claim they are better then me and will keep barking. All that noise keeps things like this in the public view.
The best part, I don't need to keep poking them... They are doing it all on their own and, just like said in the video above the recipt for my new handgun, "there is ninja mind fuckery a foot but we will get to that later..." But, well if you are so narcissistic that you need to pretend everything is about you..? The internet and Facebook tough guy fuckery is for you.
Regardless my target is non-other then, Kristen Keller and the State of West Virginia. The same people passing the lie that I am prohibited from owning a firearm, are the source of this lie. That is Kristen Keller. The subject, of a $25 Million Dollar lawsuit by me and, who walked blatantly into her own trap by falsifying evidence to discredit me; for publicly mentioning not only the decade of police harassment and false charges but, police involvement in organized crime related to not only drug trafficking and firearms trafficking but, the molestation and pandering of minors in West Virginia.
It is not about martial arts, honestly never was. I didn't bother to fight back against Icy Mike because, whatever dreams I had of being an instructor and running a school have long since been destroyed but, exposing these people and, hopefully helping others who don't have the tools available to them to fight the way I have is what is more important then my business, my reputation or, even my life... Makes you wonder why so many, supposedly "creditable and illegitimate martial artists" would seek to cover up for corruption and criminals?
So Frank Dux has fallen silent... for now. No doubt plotting how to have someone kill Don Roley or I, now. No doubt, still trying to slander my name in some other form or, quietly trying to figure out how to twist the truth & pepper it with lies. Frank Dux started off telling me of his elaborate plan to distance himself from me, in case I killed Roley or his family, in my last Blog. Yes, that makes him an accessory before the fact & implicates him in a criminal act... Even though I have adamantly stated "I never threatened Roley's family" and I have no intent to harm them. This still places a spotlight over Dux's actions and activity. He is shown to distance himself from an criminal act of violence in attempt to protect himself but, not the wife and children of a rival or detractor. Let that sink in...
Let it sink in, that Frank W. Dux, was more concerned being involved in the crime of murder then in actually stopping someone he allegedly believed would harm a woman and a child..? Course Dux, knew I would never do such thing, it was all his way of avoiding the fact that he made some pretty "out there" statements; statements like those on the Frank Dux exposed Defending those who Call Him a Fraud.
Who the hell, says shit like this..? A mentally disturbed moron without a clue and trying to sound like a super powerful, deep state crime lord... Dux has cops and lawyers coming after me. He has nothing but his own delusional mind and fantasies about being a bad ass...

Dux has since asked claim a said some racially disparaging remarks about Grandmaster Miskel & warning me not to seek him out... So I did & Grandmaster Miskel is fine with me... This is Funny, after I explained to Dux that his lies are an attempt at a smoke screen for him wanting to send in Steven Day to fight for him, at Don Roley's seminar to attempt to undermine Grandmaster Miskel's leadership and cause division within the BDFS... And explained I wrote all that concerning my DD 214 and background for the Blog's Readers and not for Dux. So now he is changing his story to claim that I "now want to kill" Roley & his family...
Now you can tell how serious I take all this, if anything should happen to Roley or his family that any blame will fall back on myself & Dux. I don't much care as Don is a pussy and claimed I was threatening his family to hide behind his wife's skirts... Same shit Barron and MRaymond Locktoolz tried to pull in Florida which lead to the whole Paper Tigers & Ducking Dragons series of blogs. Here is an important point, I point out to Dux that, he is worried about the Street Beef's fight I have with MixedMartialArts.com's Icy Mike... That is I show up and lose and gain some small batch of respect from the MMA crowd, I will have accomplished more then Frank Dux... And I tell Dux, that he is piling on too much shit because his claims are implicating him in criminal activity.
Like I said about Don Roley & his family, if anything should happen to them, Dux & I, will be the first suspects.Once again, I protecting Roley & the BDFS by extension from the insanity that is Dux. Thus, my hypothetical comments about "burning down Roley's house." That he has then again changed his story to now say that I wanted him to kill Don Roley & that he thought I was going to go to Colorado to kill Don Roley and his family were he now denies wanting any involvement, tried to create a division between us so that he would not be implicated but, was apparently still going to allow me to harm an innocent woman and her children... This is madness!

Search Warrants must be signed by a magistrate, much like an arrest warrant, & based on probable cause (a reason) sworn to by a witness or officer. This means a clerical error is out the window as the officer's testimony on the arrest warrant cites a 2nd Search Warrant, on the arrest warrant (for which he is giving sworn testimony as shown above). Sworn testimony which Assistant Prosecutor Pat Lamp is recorded denying above... That means they were caught red handed.
Here is a copy of the WV Code sent to me by my lawyer Robert Dunlap, while I was in jail awaiting a trial that never came:
What we are looking at is WV Code 27-6A-2 subsection (b) where it lists 5 things which have to be in the psychological evaluation. Number 1. Is a copy of the Warrant or Indictment. And number 2. Is information pertaining to the alleged crime.
Here is the warrant case number 13F-1026, for the dates of 16th to 26th August 2013 abd the arresting officer is Trooper Hayes.
And here is that Psychological Evaluation you are so keen to ignore and rely on citing a news report based on false information...
If we examine the cover page of Dr. Miller's report we see the offense date is listed as February 25th 2011? But the arrest warrant above says 16th to 26th 2013... And there is no Case Number for 13F-1026 listed in cases given to Dr. Miller to evaluate.

Here is the evidence for Dr. Miller to evaluate & he doesn't have a warrant or indictment for case number 13-F-1026 he has a court order for re-evaluation under that case number (item 3.) but no warrant or indictment. He lists my offense date as February 25th 22011,arresting officer as Trooper Efrid and lists four case numbers but nothing for 13F-1026.

Ok now I wrote the Anti-Terrorist Handbook, available here at Shadow Warrior Publishing. You've no doubt noticed my Interview with High Ranking Member of the Militia Movement and the recommendation to work with the militia to learn basic military skills and get "tactical" Paramilitary Training for low cost, no cost other then supplying your own gear which you have to do at most tactical schools anyway...
Now since the American Homeguard Anti-Terrorist Handbook has the name of TM 725-15 some idiots have taken to claiming I intended to pass it off as a real military manual. This is just Bull Shit... yes, I blatantly called it Bull Shit, not BS. Here is why, who has heard of the American Homeguard branch of the military. They aren't at the VA, they aren't in any Veterans Parades. The fact is, there is no American Homeguard... The name Homeguard comes from the old British World War II Civil Defense Pamphlets which advised British citizens form Homeguard units... So, the British term Homeguard was basically just a term for Militia. There is a pretty interesting story behind this... If you are Interested. Now the Militia, as a separate defensive force to protect the nation made up of civilian volunteers. Was put forward in the book How to Reform the Army by Tom Wintringham in 1939. This name was chosen by Ashida Kim, Dojo Press was my publisher at the time, since my idea for a title was simply The Anti-Terrorist Handbook and Ashida saw it as something written to target the Militia & Survivalist Community (which is was). The American Homeguard is whatever one wants it to be and they don't exactly have to call themselves that, use the term militia and form a militia. However, the book is written to provide basic skills, camouflage, hand-to-hand combatives, firearms training, individual and small teams tactics, herbal medicine, survival and first aid training.
If you are a "lone wolf" it covers basic concepts of how to move and work as a team. If you are a team, it covers how the manage one's group, organize it under a system paramilitary command structure. So if you find an Individual or a Smaller Group you bring something in the way of basic skills and a simple formation of team work. But, now comes the ten million dollar question... Why?
The Answer... Because I believe in Paramilitary Survivalism... Yes, I think a "Prepper" should be a Survivalist and focus on military or paramilitary skills and training and yes, I think that should include martial arts training. The old school Survivalist mentality of being paramilitary, guys who had weapons and gear stashed away for then the Soviets invaded in some Red Dawn scenario. Why? Because if you can handle Red Dawn you can handle Deliverance. Don't know about Wrong Turn though, be safer to just stay out of West Virginia. Or watch Appalachian Outlaws, yes we do have idiots who idiots who would make a bomb and throw it in someone's house or run around and play Doc Holiday with an AR15. So lets cover the basic kit for the Paramilitary Survivalist.
First off, lets start with the Trench Coat... Gotta have a trench coat cause its tacti-cool, right? No... But a trench is cool, you can use it as shelter, lean-tos and such. Ninja Video that shows something similar used with Kimonos. So any long coat that comes to about your knees is a good thing. An btw this is why Mountain Men were the long bear skin coats and cowboys wore Dusters.
Concept about 8 minutes into the video, but has some cool field craft information for you guys...
Secondly it covers your kit, your gear. Wear as much of your kit as possible, this kits your hands free and why I suggest LBEs, LBVs and tactical vests for preppers and survivalists.
Now this is an example of a basic LBE, its a pistol belt is supported by the suspenders and carries everything. Two, triple 30-Round Magazine Pouches. Two 1-Quart Canteens, one canteen cup, that you also use for cooking and boiling water in a canteen pouch that has room for a small bottle of Iodine Water Purification Tablets. And a Butt Pack, which should contain 3 extra 30-Round Magazines, A Poncho, Poncho Liner, fire kit, First Aid gear and some food rations. I'd add tying and taping an "L" shaped flashlight with red lens to the suspender, a compass and big ass knife to the pistol belt. A drop holster if you have the handgun. Remember this LBE is going to be under your trench coat.
Or you can do the Capain Blackeagle BLE build... This build means one is carrying 2 canteens, the butt pack and a total of 360 rounds in 12 Magazines (390 if you include the 30 rounds in your rifle magazine).
And you will need a rifle, I suggest an AR15 style rifle. Owning the rifle isn't enough, you also need training and practice. You get your training in one of three ways... Or use all three in conjunction.
1. You can Enlist... 2. You can Take a Class... 3. You can Train with the Militia or Similar group of people...
4. Buy books and Videos and try to do it yourself...
Now get this... you need to first have a weapon zeroed at 300 meters (yards will work but the Military thinks in meters, so will a foreign invader). This is all the "Bells & Whistles" you need. You need to zero the weapon and train to use the weapon, training is so much better then technology... Hense the image above of a stock AR15 style rifle without a "carrying handle" or sling... Believe me, all the lights and lasers are useless without training. The same point and fire drill you are depending on a laser sight to help you with, I learned to do without a laser sight. Meaning the laser would only enhance a skill I developed in the US Army as an Infantry Soldier through practice... In the hands of a civilian without my training, they are using a tool without the skill to properly apply it...
Lets put this in another way, what do you know about Jet Engines? I personally don't know a single thing, but I've worked on cars. I know how a ratchet works and know how to tighten and loosen bolts with it. Now do you trust me to bolt a part onto a jet engine, an engine you are going to be a passenger on?
Right... I wouldn't trust me to do it either. Because while my limited knowledge may be enough, it is not enough. Here is the big thing that people don't get, you have to have intelligence to be a grunt. You are not a monkey blindly following orders and carrying out drills, yes you get trained for that box in Basic Training and then you get told to be creative and think outside the box. The hell with it, throw away that box... Why do you need a laser on your rifle if you don't have the skill to put that red dot on target within the half-a-second you have to shoot the enemy before they shoot you? The answer is that laser is worthless... Add to that you need the experience to know where your laser is zeroed and where the round with strike below or above that zero. Why because if you don't know a round will strike 2 inches high (just an example number here it will be different between each shooter and platform) at 25 to 50 meters on a laser sight zeroed at 100 meters, if you don't have the experience to show you this and to compensate you might make some completely ~newbie~ mistake like assuming that the red dot on the bad guys head is were the round will strike and miss your shot.
So before you put 8 poumds of tacti-cool toys on a 7 pound rifle, invest a few hundred dollars in bullets and training...
You can enlist, the military will pay you, train you and might even give you some experience that will enhance that training.
You can take a Class, I am seriously worried here and here is why... Tactical Instructors are usually former military or former police. I would not trust the police tactical training. Sorry but, yeah. Tactical Schools are like Martial Arts or Self-Defense Schools. They all sit around trying to develop a new drill, a new and better technique to use and so on. Sadly... There is only so many new methods you can invent and only so many of the Basics that really matter. Things that aren't tacti-cool like Penny Drills, "Tactical Reloads" (Loading a weapon after use, before the magazine is expended, so that you have a full magazine if you have to shoot again) and Reflex Firing (also called Point Shooting). Many times I've debated with friends, Johnny Hunter, about the need for things like a flashlight, laser and so. When simple drills and practice does so much better in building skills that don't run out of batteries or what have you. The problem is many tactical schools ran by former Law Enforcement make their money by making training fun and don't focus on the basics. Many former Military ran schools will make you pony up the extra cash to take a basic class just for their school to make sure you are on the same page as everyone else... Keep in mind also many times these schools will market themselves mainly to police and military and assume the student has that as a base for their training.
Buyer beware you are paying for the knowledge, experience and sometimes to insight and creativity of a person to be your instructor. Know who you are dealing with and ask questions and get solid answers... Sometimes schools are good and sometimes not, you need to figure out if the school is right for you. I've seen LEO based schools that had great urban warfare training but laughable woodland range training. It wasn't a bad school, just a school owner who lacked experience in an area due to how he was trained and were he lived. I don't expect a Arizona swim class to teach surfing...
Training with a Militia or Similar Group... This is something I touched on with my Interview with Coronel Hunt. There are militias who are militia only in the name. They are a Civilian Paramilitary force. They are not part of the Philosophy of the Militia Movement which is a return to constitutionality from our government. You have groups with Racist Motivations and you have those with political motivations and so on so forth... So you don't want to drawn up into a cult or some terrorist group or some FBI sting operation. These groups will not connect you to like minded individuals and get you basic combat training with a rifle, but camouflage, first-aid, radio communications and more.
Do it Yourself, buying books and videos... I don't really know what to tell you. I'm not sure I have to tell their are frauds and people who are generally good guys putting out information that's limited or making up the rest as they go along to sell you on their classes and such. So you can buy books and videos and try to train on your own.
Now to Ask and Answer the Bigger Question of why you need this set up and mindset of Prepping... I am not a prepper I am a survivalist, the survivalist movement I grew up in during the 90s was made up of Christians... Yes, Christians who didn't believe in the Rapture. They believed they would be forced to choose between taking the Mark of Beast, dying or fighting to defend their family and friends and still dying. So these Christians become known as Survivalists and many were veterans. The ideas of the Survivalists became popular among more liberal minded people and the term Prepper became the PC term and preppers became less Paramilitary. The Big Question is why is this style/type of Survival or Prepping Philosophy as good thing and why should one practice it?
The answer is simple, because when the time comes to defend yourself, you don't rise to occuasion you fall back on training... Look Terrorists are training to engage you with their bare hands, knives, handguns and rifles. Baltimore & Chicago has proven the police are tools of the politicians (sorry guys but its the truth) and respond at the whims of those in power. Sure we've seen cops in New York prove their power by refusing to be the Jack Booted Thugs of the Political Machine but, while those charged with serving and protecting are playing political power games and/or being used a pawns in that game where does this leave you and your family?
I am afraid the time to sit back and let others fight for you, defend you and protect you has ended. The time to "beat your plow shields in swords" is nearly here. If nothing else having the ability to defend yourself means the ability to defend those around you. I'm not saying go fight a war, I am saying be as prepared as you can do fight a war. Avoid danger if possible but you have to fight, win. Paramilitary training is being given to police because of the threat of gangs and such..? In a world without the support of the police could survive with Paramilitary Training of your own..?
The beauty of the trench coat and you can do basic tan as well, is that you can hide your kit and weapon under the coat. You can present a low profile and still be able to bring the pain if need be against a threat.
So yesterday was a fun day in the fantasy land of Social Media. Trition D. Smith made an appearance on my Facebook page to try to defend Barron Shepherd. Its pretty easy to tell as such since he was trying to post Barron "Bitch Titties" Shepherd lies and ignore the fact already proved Barron a liar and his online girl friend Don Roley, as well.
Did this with my Blog: Barron Shepherd proven a Liar and a Slanderer and again with When YOU ARE Proven a Liar, and yet again with... Scared Little Internet Trolls when I posted screenshots of comments made by Barron Shepherd in 2013 regarding him not posting all the information or accurate information about my past and arrest record. Those comments Barron later deleted in an attempt to hide the fact that he has an agenda to slander me.
So to answer Triton's question about why I deleted Barron's blog link he posted on my Facebook profile... I will not give credence to the lies and slander of people with agenda's to lie and slander, more.
So now, Barry is depending on the other internet trolls to justify himself. The thing is... That is how Triton D. Smith becomes involved, he popped up on my Facebook page saying Dux was a liar and started off defending Barron Shepherd, for backing out like bitch. Whats even more amusing is that Mr. Smith appears to be a former student of Hanshi Frank Dux but, claims Dux is a fraud and a cheat... he has never cheated me so I don't know but, I did inquire about Mr. Smith's experience and all he claimed to share was what everyone else had to say. Nothing unique to his experiences just what the other trolls claim...
Seen here is T. D. Smith... who posted in response to Trolls & Haters are once again at it... And showing how little they know. Now if you follow my conversation with Ben Embrerley, who relayed an invite to Don Roley's tantojutsu seminar to meet Barron Shepherd. I think its a set up, an attempt at some getting somewhere where Barry can act all tough and demand I swing first... High school bull shit, were I'd be in legal trouble in another state and wouldn't be able to work. Or where most likely Barron can beat his chest and call me a pussy for not hitting him. After I expressed this to Ben and banned a troll account spreading lies and posting those images... I decided to respond to them. The fact is, it took me 4 days because I don't spend my life behind a computers screen to respond to trolls. Me and Mr. Embrerley's brief conversation can be seen below in it's entirety.
However, as soon as I start pointing out how little these experts claim to know and why... With supporting references, I get Mr. Smith's responses and it ultimately ends with him trying to insinuate that my conditions for a legitimate MMA fight in a cage between myself & Barron is something new and him not producing any of the evidence he claimed to have had. I will let you view this conversation as well...
So where is this proof that Barron Shepherd challenged Frank Dux? Screw that, where was Barron on March 4th 2016? Why all the excuses and games when all it takes is a single phone call to a fight promoter in Florida to have a Amateur MMA event set up? I mean I did it in less then a day... I have the feeling T. D. Smith was trying to bait me into challenging him and so what get someone else from the troll brigade to challenge me to cover for Barron Shepherd being a bitch...? <--- Gets my Vote
So ultimately, I am bored with the troll games... If anyone has proof that Frank Dux backed out of a fight with Barron or backed out a challenge with Frank Dux. I will post it here if you can supply these mysterious screenshots...
This an interview with Grandmaster Donald Miskel Patriarch of the International Fighting Arts Association/Black Dragon Fighting Society. I want to address the coming seminars & Open Karate Tournament in Chicago, this coming October 23 to 25th. So I'd like to begin by thanking both you for doing this interview.
I'd like to start be asking about asking about the event and what all it will entail? Grandmaster Donald Miskel (GM Miskel): This event will be a homecoming reunion bringing the BDFS back to the place of its inception. We are offering seminars by three of our kumite warriors and several other of our masters and grandmasters. The Kata Dante will be taught and participants will receive certification. We are also offering certification in our Ant bullying program and our Referee/judges clinic. We will be presenting the first BDFS Hall of Fame and the first BDFS kumite commemoration tournament.
You must both be happy to get BDFS back in Chicago, could I get some background on both your martial arts training & experience? GM Miskel: My martial art training began in 1957 when I began studying judo and Kano Jiu Jitsu. I studied shotokan karate with Sensei Sujiro Sugiama and shorei goju karate with Douglas Dwyer, Joun Keehan and Douglas Hayle. I studied Okinawan kempo under Sensei Dupre’ and Chinese kuntao and Chaun Fa (Chinese kempo) under Benji Appalado. I studied hakko ryu jujitsu, daito ryu aikijitsu and aikido under Sensei Robert Hackett, Master Gilbert James, Sensei Grazanski and Master Freeman Fox. I studied northern Shaolin praying mantis under Master James Hu and Tibetan Lama kung fu (white crane and lohan bafa) under Master Choi. I am the cofounder of the Black Lotus Martial Art Association and I’m the senior grandmaster of its fighting systems. I am one of the Patriarchs and the Head of Family of the Black Dragon Fighting Society and have had opportunity to train with some of its various masters.
Will the IFAA/BDFS be hosting other competitions such Judo, Sport Jujitsu or MMA? GM Miskel: To date we have hosted two karate tournaments and we have cohosted one jujitsu tournament. We will be venturing into other areas of competition in the near future.
So what your opinions of our current social & political climate? GM Miskel: I am in despair with some of the things I am seeing in our society today. It seems that we have taken two steps forward and three steps back. I am a minister and pastor as well as a martial artist and retired Psych professional. I look at what I see in our world today with total disbelief and incomprehension. It seems that the vocal minority has superseded the silent majority and what ever people scream the loudest for is subsequently granted however crazy it might be. There seems to be no moral fiber in our society and little respect for the church or Christian believers.
I know that some of orgional members lived through/survived the Civil Rights Riots and Battles of the 1950s and 1960s. I'm sure you have some insights that could benefit our younger generation at this time? GM Miskel: I am old enough to have seen much of these transitions. The fifties, sixties and seventies were a time of change, some for the better some not so much so. I was in the military during part of the sixties and into the early seventies. That kept me out of the middle of much of that but I was aware of what was happening. I was active in some aspects of the struggle. I leaned more to the philosophy of Malcolm X than that of Dr. King. I was a Black Panther for a short while but my passion with the martial arts and my education began to consume most of my time. Plus I got married after boot camp and had a family to support.
I had mentioned this Shihan Lassiter when we talked on the Phone but, I had the pleasure of meeting Eric Larkin he was a Houstin Oilers player back in the 1987, origionally from Chicago. His cousin was at the infamous 1968 Democratic National Convention were Keehan/Dante was teaching the Black Stone Rangers and others to act as security. It was interesting hearing the him relay his cousin's account of the event after hearing Grandmaster Ashida Kim's account. Those must have been some interesting times to live through? GM Miskel: Indeed. I was on leave at the time and saw much of the turmoil that resulted from the confrontation between the protesters and the police. It was insane. I didn’t know Ashida at that time but I had heard of his involvement in the security of the event. As much as I respected John Keehan I had little use for the Stones. I grew up affiliated with a rival faction in the streets of Chicago.
We had discussed the climate of conflict between martial arts styles and martial artists today, how does this compare to the infamous Dojo Wars of John Keehan/Count Dante's BDFS? Personally, I think most of the trash talker on the net wouldn't run there mouths the way they do in person but, thats my personal experience. GM Miskel: One of my primary concerns is trying to promote unity in the martial arts. I knew Jim Konservic as well as Lawrence day, and Michael Felkof all of whom were involved in the incident at the Black Cobra Hall of the Green Dragon Society. That was a terrible time. I was caught up in much of the conflict between various schools and organizations as were many of John’s students. I saw the transition of John Keehan into the Count Dante persona and was there as the old World Karate Federation was scrapped and the Black Dragon Fighting Society was created. I was a member of both organizations though during my involvement with the WKF I was Kyu ranked and was a teenager. The last thing I want to see is a reenactment of the dojo wars of the sixties and seventies. I have labored hard to rid the BDFS of the stigma of those turbulent days. Talk is cheap. People run their mouths and indulge in what I like to call keyboard kumite. Social media and the world wide web has made much of this possible. Most of those same people would be silent if they had to meet the people they malign face to face
I'm going to ask Grandmaster Blanton about his own experiences and get his input but, I'd like both your opinions on the BDFS Anti-Bullying Program? GM Miskel: A many of you know G.M. Blanton has stepped down from the head of the BDFS Antibullying program. I feel that his decision to do so is unfortunate but it falls into very capable hands in the person of Master Larry McFadden. Larry was a professor at Morano Valley University and is a natural teacher and a martial art Grandmaster. He has taught the program on the high school and college level in the United States and in Mexico. Master Blanton did a good job as the former head of the program but it must go on in his absence. It addresses an important issue that plagues our society and gives us a means of dealing effectively with the problem. It is one of our flagship programs.
